Beastie Boys channel SiriusXM

To celebrate the unveiling of Beastie Boys Square in New York City’s Lower East Side (at the corner where the real Paul’s Boutique used to stand), SiriusXM has added the Beastie Boys channel for a limited time.

Located on channel 105 until September 14 at 3 a.m. ET and on the SiriusXM app until September 21 at 3 a.m. ET, the Beastie Boys channel will play music from their catalogue of albums along with tracks that influenced them.

You will also get to hear commentary and stories from the band as well as a guest DJ series called Pass the Mic, which includes the likes of Eric Andre, Rosie Perez, Chuck D, David Cross and Cypress Hill.

Hello Nasty and Check Your Head deluxe vinyl boxsets

Vinyl fans of the Beastie Boys are also in for a treat as Universal Music is releasing a 4LP Hello Nasty 25th anniversary deluxe vinyl boxset on September 8 and reissuing the Check Your Head 30th anniversary deluxe vinyl boxset on September 11.

The Hello Nasty anniversary boxset features 21 bonus tracks, including rarities, remixes, and b-sides. It comes in a quad jacket package housed in a hardcover slipcase with a removable sew-on patch.

The Check Your Head anniversary boxset features two bonus LP’s with remixes, live versions, and b-sides. It comes in a fabric-wrapped, stamped hardcover case.

Both albums are listed for $159.99 each on the Universal Music store.
