The decoration lights up and plays music while the reindeer move up and down. It can be powered by AA batteries or an AC plug-in adapter.

The issue with the product is that it can overheat, which poses the fire hazard risk. Health Canada says the company has received two reports of the product overheating and “smoking” in Canada as of December 12, 2023.

There have been no reports of injury or property damage.

Health Canada says consumers should stop using the product immediately and return it to London Drugs for a full refund.

London Drugs have locations in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. For more information, contact London Drugs at 1-888-991-2299 or visit them online at londondrugs.com.

Health Canada recently issued recalls for Kopi Thyme brand sauces and soup bases and for Rojada Child Safety Seats. In November they recalled some Anker EverFrost Powered Coolers over a potential fire risk.
